ReplyDeleteI like the idea of Yelp, but I sometimes wonder if it isn't just more chaff accumulation. (Wasn't it originally designed in conjunction with the Microsoft smart phone program for date hookups and matching in real time via bluetooth?...)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I have a love hate relationship with technology that pulls you out of the real world and real interactions and into virtual la la land... I even have a bit of an issue with people who pause real life conversations because a text or a tweet is more important than the conversation... it's like saying "my virtual friends are more important than you." And if they are, then that's who you should be with and stop wasting my time...
But that's a personal pet peeve...people who don't interact with being alive anymore.
(And I love the "ULTRA!" in the red pen comments. It makes me miss France where it's relatively common slang for cool. "C'est ultra!" or just "Ultra!")
OMG! My teacher was just talking about this today in my Marketing class!
